the rains

The rains have arrived...and so have the little frogs. Especially in the night, while driving the car, in the lights of the headlamps, you see them crossing the roads by jumping in front of the car. Even if you are in a rush, you slow down to let them pass. Frogs are just an example of the different rainy season species which come to life in this season. There are insects which you can see only during this season, many of them making your home their abode. And these insects are so short-lived that the next morning they are just part of the dust in the house. Another species which are seen in a new light are the avians...the birds, their feathers wet with rain water, trying to take shelter in any small space of your house, and you can almost see them shivering with the cold. And last but not the least, are the homo sapiens - us humans, who try to find little joys in the waterfalls by the side of the mountain roads  or take in the thrill of salty water of the sea, crashing against the side of the roads, especially at Marine drive and Worli sea face.                              so guys, where shall we meet to enjoy these monsoons...
